The Corner Staircase
This is one of two areas for evidence on the sixth floor. The area was also recreated from photographs of the crime scene, taken on the 22nd of November 23rd, 1963. The display will find an Italian-made Mannlicher-Carcano gun similar to the one found in the northwest corner of the 6th floor of detectives.
The Corner Window
On the 22nd of November 1963, when the motorcade was advancing towards the Dealey Plaza, shots were fired and hit the president and Texas Governor John Connally. Dallas police then begin an investigation into the Texas School Book Depository. For 45 minutes, three empty cartridge shells were located in the “sniper’s perch” in the southeast area on floor six. The size of evidence has been precisely recreated using photos of crime scenes. It also allows visitors to enjoy a view of Dealey Plaza that provides an exclusive and informative perspective of the historical site.
